Computer Component and Non-Rechargeable Battery Recycling
The University of Arkansas Computer Store and Service Center will also accept small computer components, such as ram, circuit boards, and optical drives, and non-rechargeable alkiline batteries for proper recycling and disposal. Only small computer components will be accepted and not complete systems.
Rechargeable Battery and Cell Phone Recycling
The University of Arkansas Computer Store and Service Center is proud to be participating in a program to help recycle dead rechargeable batteries and old cellular phones. Normally these items would get thrown in the trash and the dangerous chemicals inside these items would leach into the environment. By recycling these items, you not only keep dangerous chemicals out of the environment, but you also make these products cheaper through reuse.
If you have old Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion) or Small Sealed Lead* (Pb) rechargeable batteries, you can drop these off at the University of Arkansas Computer Store and Service Center for recycling. Old, broken cellular phones of any kind can also be recycled and will gladly be accepted.
